Disappointing day at the office

First half started slow with neither team really getting a hold of the game. We had a few chances to get through on goal but was let down by sloppy passes in the final third, with the closest chance coming when the opposition GK miss kicked a clearance, but we failed to capitalise on the open goal from distance.

Second half started much the same, until the 55th minute when Totternhoe put a ball in box and one of their forwards was brought down for a penalty, which was converted comfortably.

An almost immediate response followed when Rev headed towards goal from a corner, which was cleared off the line. This was our best chance of the game.

We soon made some subs, which saw Ryan Kelsey, Tom Lloyd Roberts and Ryan Ramswell introduced on about the 65th minute mark, but unfortunately they could not influence the game the way we had hoped.

2 big saves from Joe towards the end of the match, one from close range and the other from a great free kick attempt ensured the score stayed 1-0, and Totternhoe dug deep to hold out for the deserved win.

Not the result or performance we had hoped for today, but all attention turns to the next game in 2 weeks time!
