BIG CUP WIN AGAINST TOUGH OPPOSITION!

MATCH REPORT FROM FIRST TEAM MANAGER PETE JORDAN:

Good result against against a very good young side Darren has put together at Div 1 Irchester
Not the best of starts with a mix up in defence left us one nil down as Irchester tapped the ball in to an empty goal on two minutes
After that the back 5 were superb and with a good surface allowed us to play out from there and keep the ball better
The midfield three were superb with great movement off the ball and finding little pockets of space to play through the lines
Front three were lively driving us forward as we searched for an equaliser
Kept good shape throughout the game and finally got our rewards after 75 minutes with an equaliser from Demarlo and then we pushed for the winner
Lots of bodies in the box and the ball is stroked home by Jack on 85 mins to seal the game for us
It wasn’t all about the result tonight it was all about the performance very disciplined compact and great movement off the ball
Impressive performance from Dimeji on his debut and a great return from Hanley for a while as we rebuild and hope to have a couple more added to the squad in the next couple of weeks
Overall a great performance but still a lot to work on and you have to enjoy a night game under lights
MOM Could be one of many after that performance but it’s going to Ryan Hanley on his return after a few games out quality at the back

We take on Northampton Sileby Rangers in the next round, who are having a solid season sitting pretty in 5th of Division 1. Another tough game but we will be hoping to make it a hat trick of victories against higher ranked opposition!
